【摘要】:Underthesevereconditionsofthistest,thespecimensundergodegradationataratethatisafunctionofthethermalenduranceofthegeomembraneunderexamination.Theelevatedtemperatureforthispracticeshouldrepresentconditionsthataresufficientlyseveretoinducefailureofpolyolefingeomembraneswithinanabbreviatedperiodoftime.TherateofchangeofaparticularpropertyasafunctionoftemperaturemaybeevaluatedusingthetemperaturesandtimesoutlinedinPracticeD3045.Anycorrelationbetweenthispracticeandnaturallifeofthesematerialsmustbedeterminedfortheparticularapplicationinwhichthematerialsaretobeused.Air-ovenagingcanbeusedtoevaluateandcomparetheperformanceofvariousheatstabilizerpackages.1.1Thispracticecoversameansforestimatingtheresistanceofpolyolefingeomembranestothermalaginginthepresenceofair.Onlytheprocedureforheatexposureisspecified,notthetestmethodorspecimen.Theeffectofheatonanyparticularpropertymaybedeterminedbyselectionoftheappropriatetestmethodandspecimen.1.2Thispracticeshouldbeusedasaguidetocomparethermalagingcharacteristicsofmaterialsasmeasuredbythechangeinsomepropertyofinterest.Thispracticedoesnotpredictthermalagingcharacteristicswhereinteractionsbetweenstress,environment,temperature,andtimecontrolfailure.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
